Hi I'm Anthony, I lead the creation of people-centric data solutions
About Me
As a Principal Data & AI Specialist at Microsoft and part of the Global Black Belt team, I partner closely with our customers to deliver deep technical expertise and practical guidance, particularly in Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric. While my job is to help customers adopt Microsoft products, my personal goal is simpler: help them build something that makes a difference. The views expressed on this blog are my own and do not represent the views of Microsoft.
Before joining Microsoft, I was a Lead Consultant at BlueGranite (now 3Cloud), where I helped launch and scale their modern data practice. Earlier in my career, I served as the technical lead on Stryker's global data warehouse initiative, delivering high-impact analytics solutions across a complex, distributed enterprise. These roles shaped how I approach data work: with empathy for real-world constraints and a deep respect for both the craft and the outcome.
What I Believe
Data should empower real people, not just serve as a reporting layer. Good analytics should be accessible, ethical, and actionable. It should drive better decisions, not just metrics. My mission is to make technology, especially advanced analytics, feel less like rocket science and more like clear thinking.
As someone with ADHD, I know firsthand that brilliant minds don't always work in straight lines. I strive to build systems that work for minds of all kinds, especially for those of us who think differently. I champion neurodiverse technologists and push for tools, teams, and approaches that embrace cognitive diversity in all its forms.
My curiosity drives my desire to solve problems. Empathy shapes how I listen and build. Craftsmanship guides how I deliver. And equity keeps me grounded in who we're building for and why.
Beyond the Job
I live in the Greater Cincinnati area with my spouse and two kids.
When I'm not partnering with customers, you'll find me speaking at conferences, consulting, and mentoring others in the field. I'm currently working on a side project called ADHDBytes.com, where I plan to publish byte-sized insights about technology while raising awareness about ADHD, especially in the tech industry. My goal is to utilize the platform to connect with more professionals who navigate complex work with diverse minds.
I stay grounded through a mix of technical and outdoor pursuits: photography, skiing, and endless tinkering with my smart home to keep my technical curiosity alive. Serving as a licensed youth soccer referee provides unexpected leadership training. Officiating requires confidence under pressure, calm conflict resolution, quick decision-making, and clear communication, skills I bring back into my professional world every day. And when we all need a reset, there is nothing better than hitting the road or hopping on a plane to explore new places as a family.
